At Indigenous Science, we warmly congratulate Dr. Yolanda Lopez-Maldonado for her contributions as both Lead Author, and Indigenous Knowledge and Local Knowledge Task Force and Chapeaux Author in the recently announced GEO-7 report, published by UNEP.
She co-authored, jointly with many scientists and practitioners from all over the world, the following chapters:
Chapter 6. Freshwater, pp. 261-303.
Chapter 9. Scenario Methodology: Current Trends and Transformation, pp. 465-500.
Chapter 10. Continuation of Current Trends: Global Implications, pp. 501-541.
Chapter 11. Transformation Pathways Towards Achieving Global Goals: Global Implications, pp. 543-595.
Indigenous Knowledge and Local Knowledge Chapeaux A (pp. 4-8), B (pp. 108-112), C (pp. 460-464), and D (pp. 604-610).
The GEO-7 was presented at the UNEA7 in Nairobi, where she also attended and spoke at multiple interventions during the assembly and related events (early December 2025).
