A new academic piece of Dr. Yolanda Lopez-Maldonado has been published. The chapter "Why Don't We Know About Indigenous Science?: Key Concepts, Some Myths and Frequent Misconceptions of Indigenous Knowledge" belongs to the already available online (printed version to be available in September) The Bloomsbury Handbook of Indigenous Education and Research.

This work analyses the contradictions of Western science and unravels the myths and misconceptions about Indigenous knowledge with a critical lens. It posits a call for action to respect the individuality and independence of Indigenous knowledge.
