UN General Assembly’s meeting for 2026 United Nations Water Conference

Upon invitation from the Women in Water Diplomacy Network (WWDN), Dr. Yolanda Lopez-Maldonado attended the WWDN Partners Meeting hosted by the Slovenian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York (NYC) on the 8-9 Jul 2025, where it was discussed the strategic priorities for 2025-2026, and collaborated on the engagement strategy for the upcoming 2026 United Nations Water Conference, including plans for the Third Global Forum of the Network in the UAE.

Later on, she also participated in the Meeting of the President of the UN General Assembly (PGA), Multistakeholder Interactive Session for Member States, UN System and other stakeholders, and a Stakeholder Brainstorm, on the 9-10 Jul 2025.
